How can I share a Kanopy film through Zoom with students in my class?

Answer

We recommend that you have your students themselves link directly to films on Kanopy through the library website to view full films. But if your teaching requires that the students and you all watch the film at the same time, here are the instructions to assure that students can view your screen:

1. Open the video in a browser window.

2.In the Zoom meeting window, click "Share screen".

3. At the bottom of the window where you choose which app to share, click both "Share computer sound" and "Optimize Screen Sharing for Video Clip."

4.Select browser window with the Kanopy film and click "Share."

5.Start film and enlarge to full screen for best results.
