How do students print in the Library?

Answer

  • Log into any available computer with your credentials:
    • Student Login for Computers, Wifi, AND Printing:

      Username = your 8-digit CUNY EmpID

      Password = FLMM/DD/YY

      FL = your CUNYfirst official First and Last initials (upper case!)

      MM/DD/YY = your 6-digit birthdate with the slashes "/ "

      Example: If your name is Jalil Doe and your birthday is June 1, 1998, your password would be JD06/01/98

  • The print system defaults to double-sided printing. If you want single-sided prints, choose "LIB_SingleSide_BW". This is a single or double sided print setting- there are no specific printers!
  • Once you submit the print job you'll be asked to sign in to your print account with the same credentials you used to log into the computer.
  • After you send the print job, you'll need to go to ANY print release station in the library and sign in and release the job there using the same credentials.
  • Printing Locations:
    • There are print release stations at all service desks in the library (ReferenceCirculation on 1st Floor, New Media Center on 2nd Floor), as well as the Library Café (Whitehead Hall, 1st Floor).
    • Color printing is only available on the 2nd Floor of the library and at the Library Café. Color printing requires a Debit balance, so you must add your own funds to print in color. Select Color Printer and pick up at these locations only.
  • Printing Costs:
    • BC students receive free print balance for B&W printing:
      • Full-time undergraduate students receive up to $15 Quota

    • B&W printing costs 10¢/page, 15¢/duplex (double-sided) page using Quota or Debit funds.
