Brooklyn College students can borrow laptops from the New Media Center on a first-come, first-served basis.
Requirements:
- Valid Brooklyn College ID
- Additional valid physical photo ID (driver's license, passport, etc.)
- Student status:
- Undergraduate students: Same-day loan or up to 7-day loan.
- Graduate students: PC laptops for up to 30 days.
- All students: MacBooks for 1-day loan only.
Loan details:
- Pick-up: New Media Center (2nd Floor)
- Return: New Media Center, no later than 30 minutes before closing.
- Renewals: Not allowed. You can borrow again on the following day.
Late fees:
- $50 for the first overnight delay.
- $10 for each additional hour, up to a maximum of $100.
Lost or damaged laptops:
- You will be charged the cost of the replacement part or the entire laptop.
- You will not be able to register for classes, order transcripts, or pick up your diploma until the fine is paid.
Additional information:
- Laptops cannot be reserved in advance.
- Laptops are for student use only.
- Laptops may be used in the Library or taken off-campus.
