What are Open Educational Resources (OER)?

Answer

Great question! Open Educational Resources (OER) are defined as educational materials that are freely available online, and released under an open license. Creative Commons licenses are commonly used as a way to allow distribution and modification, as an alternative to traditional copyright.

The Mina Rees Library has supported a multi-year Fellowship program that involves OER creation, and we're happy to help out with any questions. For more information, check out our OER guide - and feel free to reach out!
