How can I see if we have access to an article from a citation? Or how do I know what journals the library holds?

Answer

To search for a specific journal, you can go to the Library website (https://library.gc.cuny.edu/) and click on the Journal tab (above the main search bar). Then enter the title of the journal (not the title of the article :). If search results appear, it means we have access, and you can see which databases hold issues according to the date ranges of our holdings. Click on one of the databases to access the journal: if you're not yet logged in, you will be prompted to log in with your GC Network ID and Password.

If it turns out that we don't have the journal itself or the date range you need, you can request articles via Interlibrary Loan by logging in here: https://gc-cuny.illiad.oclc.org/illiad/logon.html or by following the "Request via ILL" links directly from databases.
