As a CUNY student/faculty member, you can obtain complimentary online access to both the New York Times and Wall Street Journal. 

To activate your NYTimes access: 

1. Visit the NY Times registration page.
2. Create your account: Click Create Account and use your @*.cuny.edu, @cuny.edu, or @cuny.tv email address
3. Handle existing accounts: If you already have a NYTimes account linked to your CUNY email:
   1. Log in to your existing account
   2. Click your username (top right) > My Account
   3. Replace your CUNY email with a personal email address
   4. Return to step 2 to register with your CUNY email
4. Verify your email: Check for a confirmation message within 15 minutes
   1. Click the verification link to activate your 52-week Academic Pass
   2. Check spam folders if the email doesn't arrive
   3. Still no email? Contact edu@nytimes.com from your CUNY email

To activate your Wall Street Journal access: 

1. Visit the WSJ registration page
2. Sign in with CUNY Login: When prompted, sign in with your CUNY Login credentials
3. Create account: Follow the prompts to enter the requested information:
   1. Account Type: There are three account types: Student, Staff, or Professor; please choose your appropriate role. 
      • If you select the student account type, you must fill in two additional fields: graduation month and graduation year. 
      • If you select the professor account type, you will have one additional field to complete: prefix.
   2. First Name: Edit your first name, if need be.
   3. Last Name: Edit your last name, if need be.
   4. Email (username): Enter an email address you wish to associate with your WSJ acount.
   5. Password: Select a unique password for your WSJ account.
   6. Terms: Check the box for the statement "I agree to the Privacy Notice, Subscriber Agreement, Cookie Notice."
   7. Click Create.
