How do I find a book?
Answer
1. To find a book, you can type the title into the search bar on the CSI library homepage (http://library.csi.cuny.edu)
2. On the results page, you will likely get articles about the book in addition to the book itself--to search only for the book, you can use the filter options listed to the left of the search results. You can use either of the following options:
- Items currently on shelf: returns books that are physically in the library
- Books: includes both books available in the library and online
3. Once you find a record for the book you are looking for, you can either click on "Available Online" if you would like to read it as an e-book, or locate the call number of the book if you would like to read a physical copy:
4. Once you locate the call number of a physical book, locate the number on the Call Number Sheet to find the section color and aisle number where the book will be located. Please note that all out circulating books will be located on the third floor of the library. For example, if I am looking for a book with the call number ML 3508 .G54 2009, I would go to the yellow section, aisle 194:
