Q. What do I do if I get an "Unauthorized" error message from my CUNY Login?
A few students have reported a rare error where their CUNY Login works, but they are not recognized as a CSI community member. If you can access Blackboard and CUNYFirst, but you see the error screen below, please use the CUNY Login Account Self-Service tool to reset your password. Then try to access the resource again.
If this does not work, please email the CSI helpdesk (firstname.lastname@example.org) and copy Christine.McEvilly@csi.cuny.edu, the CSI Electronic Resources Librarian. Include your Empl ID, the link you tried to access, a screenshot of the error page, and the title of the resource you need. Include the information that you have reset your password, and confirm that you can still access CUNYFirst.
Unfortunately, this issue is related to your CUNYFirst account, and can only be fixed by CUNY's Computing & Information Services, not by anyone at CSI. However, the Helpdesk will get in touch with them for you, and the Library will try to find a way to get you access to the resource you need until the issue is sorted!
